The work takes us to public and institutional places where addiction becomes visible. Drug consumption rooms\, emergency sleeping ce ntres\, police custody\, self-help facilities\, but also the open drug sce ne\, are at the heart of the photographic exploration. Without focussing o n the people affected\, the surrounding space becomes a reflection of soci al conditions. Schubert's work paints a multi-layered picture of the topic of addiction and reveals complex socio-political contexts.\n„Developments “ (2011-2020) by Tino Zimmermann is a stream of consciousness extracted fr om the artist's archive. The will to overcome the psychosis triggered by d rugs and to accept his own chaos led him to engage with symptomatic social voids of the post-reunification period.
